I figured I cook Cuban dishes at least 2-3 nights a week, why not make it a weekly post? Last week I made picadillo on Tuesday but didn't post until Thursday so.....Wednesdays it is!
I wasn't born in Cuba, but my parents were...so I grew up in New Jersey eating Cuban food, moved down to Miami as a teenager, married a Cuban at 22, etc., etc., etc. It is hard to describe, it is something you must experience for yourself. The sweetness of a delicious flan as it melts in your mouth, the aroma of garlic as you prepare a "sofrito", or of fresh brewed cafe cubano first thing in the morning or after a great meal......it just fills all your senses! I already have a list of recipes I want to share plus more that I must bribe from some friends and family members! I hope you will enjoy these recipes as much as my family does. ¡Buen provecho!
